Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Team

This Division has three units- National Program Data Base and Reporting, Program Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Coordination Unit.  It is responsible for the following broad functions:
  • Developing and implementing systems and mechanisms for monitoring, evaluating and reporting on progress of implementation of the National HIV strategy. The reports include Global AIDS Reporting (GAR); National AIDS Spending Assessment (NASA); and consolidated annual national status report for presentation to Parliament.
  • Promote learning and sharing of best practice across the national response
  • Initiating, encouraging, facilitating and monitor research (behavioral and operational research including ensuring repeatable Behavioral Surveillance Studies) in relation to HIV/AIDS.
  • Assisting the Council in monitoring and reporting on resource allocation and utilization across the response- NASA.
